IT TAKES A VILLAGE

The miracle of Pierce’s Park is the many people who have volunteered their time and resources to make it happen. From design work, to implementation, the expression “it takes a village” is relevant here!

Through the Baltimore Community Foundation Fund established in honor of Pierce Flanigan III, his wife, Susan, was able to raise $2 million. There are many generous people who understand that the cost of materials and fair labor practices means being able to pay for good design and construction.

The Advisory Committee included friends of Pierce who helped with a variety of buearocratic hurdles that needed to be met at both the City and State levels. (click here for complete list)

P. Flanigan & Son, now headed by Pierce Flanigan IV, is donating thousands of man hours in labor. Many subcontractors in addition to Priority Construction Corporation are donating labor and resources. When it is all finished, the in-kind donations will exceed hundreds of thousands of dollars.
